About us

Freedom for science, Science for freedom

Trieste International Foundation for the Progress and Freedom of Science (FIT) has the following purposes:

• promote and encourage the progress, freedom and diffusion of science and its peaceful applications recommending, promoting and supporting national and international scientific and technological initiatives also through the creation of new organizations;
• promote and increase the scientific and technological application activities of local university and research institutions, also encouraging relationships and collaboration with all similar institutions in Italy and around the world, in particular with emerging countries;
• promote and increase Trieste’s cultural and economic relations at an international level, strengthening connections with research centres.
